News 24th Nov 2009: Our last convention saw a landmark for the DtWT project, as we had artists raising money with their sketches at 2 different shows at the same time! Kat Nicholson and Jason Cardy were joined by buddying new talent Joe Ward, Tom Wilson and Matt Birks in the Memorabilia show up @ the NEC in Birmingham, while @ the same time in Leeds Thought Bubble, Comic Artist Leigh Gallagher was also raising money with his sketches! It was a great weekend for everyone, and between us all we managed to raise £465 in one weekend! Brilliant result, my heart-felt gratitude goes out to all involved; artists, patrons, friends, show-organisers and supporters a-like! - Thanks guys! :D

PS: Just found out from our Founder Andrew Wildman that he raised £50 this weekend too, so the total for this month is actually £515! - fantastic! ^_^

Just a quick update to let you all know that I am no longer at the helm of this project as after 4 years it feels like the right time to do what was always my intention, hand it over to someone who can bring something fresh to the project. Throughout the last four years there have been many amazingly talented people who have helped out with the project and together we have raised tens of thousands of pounds to help street children in both Cambodia and India. Two of those who have shown dedication to the project and a keenness to be involved at a higher level are super colourist team, Kat Nicholson and Jason Cardy. Their willingness to contribute their time and talent at comic conventions has been a major contributor to the work of DtWT.
So, Kat and Jason will now be handling the daily ins and outs of DtWT as well as all that it takes to have DtWT appear at conventions. I know that you will do all you can to aid them in moving DtWT in to new areas and helping to make a difference.
